DETAILED ITINERARY

 

Day 1

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport where you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel for dinner and overnight at Sheraton Hotel, Cassia Lodge orHoliday Express Hotel.


Day 2
At 0700 hrs, you will be picked from your hotel to drive southwest to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Take a stop over at stopping at Mpigi crafts and the Equator crossing for an informative presentation from the guide and photography. Take pictures and then proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park. Take a game drive En route a game drive in search for the unique game like the Topi, Elands, Elephants and many other animals. Have lunch, Visit the crater lakes region returning in the evening for dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari lodge/ Jacana Safari Lodge / Institute Of Ecology.


Day 3
You will have breakfast before sunrise for the early morning game drive. Queen Elizabeth is one of Africa's most beautiful and biologically diverse reserves. Lion, leopard, elephant, hippo, Uganda Kob, and the giant forest hog are among the big game and birdlife is exceptionally rich. Queen Elizabeth National Park boasts a one day record for birding to be 296 species. Bird sightings include the shoebill stork, the black bee-eater, kingfishers, raptors and spectacular flocks of flamingos.
In the afternoon you will go for a launch cruise along the kazinga channel the waterway that joins Lake Edward to Lake George. The launch trip along the Kazinga Channel is particularly rewarding for viewing a variety of game, especially hippo, buffalo, elephant and a vast array of birds. You may also see the famous tuskless elephants that have evolved in response to poaching in the past. Retire to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight at the lodge.


Day 4
You will drive to Kibale national park. The drive will take you through the beautiful foot hills of the Rwenzori Mountains. Relax at the lodge as you wait for Lunch. In the Afternoon, you will assemble at Kanyankyu tourist centre for briefing from the Ranger guides before you go for chimpanzee tracking in the Kibale tropical rain forest. While tracking the chimps, you may come across other primates and mammals like the Red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, the Blue Mangabeys, Bushbucks, Warthogs, Bush pigs, Duikers, Golden cats among others, several bird species including African Pita, Warbler, Blue headed sun bird among others.  Dinner and over night at Ndali Lodge/ Primates Lodge/ Rwenzori View guest house.


Day 5

This will be a long drive but rewarding with e beautiful Scenery .Take breakfast and transfer to Murchison falls National park passing through the beautiful Albertine rift. Have lunch en route and as you approach the park you will be stopping briefly at the escarpment overlooking L. Albert. As you drive along Budongo forest way, you may spot Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Red Tailed and Blue Monkeys and lots of Olive Baboons may be seen. Birds like Afep Pigeons, the Nightjar, Black Billed Turacco, Great Blue and Ross’s Turaccos, Narina’s Trogon, White thigh Hornbills, African Green Pigeons and Nathan’s Francolin may also be seen. Proceed for dinner and over night at Paraa safari Lodge / Nile Safari Camp/ Sambiya River lodge/ Red Chillis Camp.


Day 6
Wake up very early in the morning and take a cup of coffee as you prepare for an early morning game drive in the Northern part of Murchison falls national park.  In this cool morning before the sun rises too high , you will expect encounters of   herds of Buffaloes, Elephants, Rothschild’s giraffe, prides of lions,  the Illusive leopard,  Oribis, Hartebeests, Waterbucks, Kobs, watch elephants as they graze on the grassy hillsides  and many bird species like the Nightjar.  Back in time for late breakfast. Then after relax as you wait for lunch.  In the afternoon, you will take a launch cruise along the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls. It is here that every drop of water in river Nile plunges and explodes through a narrow gorge. An incessant thunderous roar combines with an invigorating yet gigantic spray that make smoke without fire to create the most powerful single concentration of water in the world. Watch families of Hippos relaxing by the Nile bank. You will return to your lodge for dinner and over night. Return to the lodge for dinner and over night (FB)


Day 7
After these exhilarating moments in the wild, you have to transfer back to Kampala having lunch en route.
