5 DAYS LOITA HILLS TREK 5 DAYS - LOITA HILLS TREK, KENYAN MAASAI PLAINS Trekking in Loita Hills/plainsThis safari that will take you deep into Maasai Land where you will meet the Maasai Manyatta people still living their traditional lifestyle. This trek will take you to the Nguruman Escarpment and across the sweeping range of Loita Hills spilling into spectacular views. You will encounter plenty of wild animals with your local Maasai guide who will speak the local tribal language and who is highly skilled in bush wilderness, so you will be in very safe hands. This trek can be a marvellous learning opportunity of Maasai culture and will be an unforgettably breathtaking safari game trek. Day 1- Depart Nairobi for a drive through the sweeping farmlands at the edge of the sensational Great Rift Valley, to descend the Escarpment with a stop at the viewpoint. After lunch in Narok town, we can continue onto nearby Maji Moto (Hot Springs) where from here we begin our walking safari to Ndarara Manyatta camp in time for dinner and overnight. Day 2- This morning we can leave Ndarara camp early for a beautiful walk in the grasslands, before the sun is too hot. We can pass Narosora, a modern Maasai town for lunch, before continuing our trek to Morinjo Safari Camp in time for dinner and overnight. Day 3- We can leave our camp after breakfast for a marvellous walk through one of East Africa's least known forest wildernesses for a 5 to 6 hour hike. We will arrive at Enkutoto in time for dinner and overnight. Day 4- Today we leave early to pass along the left slope of the Great Rift Valley for a rest at the viewpoint. After lunch here, we can descend to Nguruman town via the Escarpment for a hot shower tonight and overnight. Day 5- After breakfast we can transfer to Magadi Soda Lakes to wonder at the fauna in abundance here. We can also visit the pre- historic site of Ologesaille before transferring onto Nairobi or your next chosen destination by late afternoon or early evening.
